GIM (Inclusive Glossary of Mathematical Terms) is an educational game dedicated to the fundamental terms of location and number drawing. It is based on the classic memory card game, where the cards activate animated videos when paired with the mobile/tablet interface or application (coming soon) integrated into the game. Bordalo e o Gato (Bordalo and the Cat) is a top-down puzzle and customization game that aims to approach the work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro in an accessible and fun way. The challenge is to build paths to help Pires the cat reach his food. At the end of each level, players unlock ceramic pieces that can be used to create and customize their own objects. Educação Acessível
The Educação Acessível platform serves as a foundational reference for InTouch Lab, embodying its core principles of accessibility, playfulness, and participatory design. Developed through collaboration between researchers, deaf students, higher education students, and specialised educators, the platform illustrates how partnership academic work can generate tangible social impact through inclusive and accessible game-based learning. The website offers 26 video games accessible to deaf people, in LGP and British Sign Language, within the scope of mathematics education.
OPERAT
The OPERAT platform (Workshop for Accessible Resources) is a key precursor and resource node for InTouch Lab, providing a living repository of tangible, hybrid, and digital accessibility artefacts produced through collaboration with LabTec, students, and external partners. Going through a continuous update process, the website currntly offers 15 resources accessible to people with mental deficiency and deaf, including videogames, interfaces and tangible games.
